2. Webinars

For the Newbie, many business concepts are—well—new. Webinars are an idea way to convey and talk around the concepts that the Newbie needs to introduce into their thinking. Humans have been listening for a lot longer than they’ve been reading, and there’s good evidence to suggest that we retain more information and glean more insight into that information when listening, as we receive emphasis, cadence, and tone-of-voice cues from the presenter. Despite conveying basic information, webinars should also contain an action step that Newbies will follow after the webinar. This action step will cement the concept in their minds, and will deepen the learning by having the Newbie apply it immediately. When possible, these action steps should be tied to metrics from the MINDBODY software that the Newbie will use to evaluate the effectiveness of their actions, and adjust course if necessary.
